Musician · Baglama Teacher · Choir Director

I am a professional baglama player, musician, and choir director with a deep connection to Turkish music. I had the privilege of studying baglama under some of Türkiye’s most renowned and respected master musicians. I have also gained extensive performance experience working with various musical groups and ensembles.
While the baglama is my primary instrument and area of expertise, I also play the oud, guitar, and piano. One of my greatest passions is introducing the richness of Turkish music to audiences in the United States and creating cultural connections through live performances, concerts, and choir projects.
With an academic background in psychology, I bring patience, understanding, and a personalized approach to my lessons. I offer private baglama instruction tailored to each student’s experience, learning style, and musical goals.
My goal is to preserve the traditions of Turkish music, share them with new audiences, and help my students build their own meaningful connection with music.
13+ years of musical experience across performance, baglama teaching and choir direction. Formal credentials and institutional affiliations will be listed here once confirmed.
Every performance is shaped by the room, the audience, and the story the music needs to tell — intimate gatherings and larger stages alike.
Turkish music is both root and compass: makam sensibility, baglama tradition, and a living repertoire that continues to inspire contemporary expression.
I teach baglama with a patient, structured and personal approach — meeting each student where they are while building lasting musical foundations. As choir director, I guide the ensemble with the same care for community and musical growth.
